Microsoft Office 2010 To Be Released In June 2010

Microsoft Office 2010 is now out of beta and is in the near-final Release Candidate (RC) stage. The next stage, after RC has passed successfully, is for Office 2010 to be released to production and then marketed to the public.

It is rumoured that the software has already been shipped to a select group of companies in the technology adoption programme. The Release Candidate phase allows feedback from Microsoft’s partners to influence functionality of the final build.

The word on the street is that the next version of Office will be released in late June 2010. The Office 2010 technical preview was released in the summer of 2009, with the public beta following in December.
