Microsoft Office 14 Milestones
Posted on 02 April 2009 by officeadmin
The people over at Tech ARP have got their hands (somehow) on a leaked forecast for Office 14 milestones. Whilst it’s interesting reading, they don’t mention any sources, so how do we know how authentic this projection is? Should we take these details with a pinch of salt? These milestones ‘confirm’ suspicions that Office 14 will be released some time in 2010.
| Key Program Activities | Planned Dates | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Office 14 Overview | Q2 2009 | Overview of Office 14 product offerings (SKU line-up) and customer value proposition. |
| Office 14 Pricing | Q3 2009 | OEM royalty rates for Office 14 (not consumer pricing) |
| OEM Incentive Programs | Q3 2009 | Referral payment program or other incentives for Office 14 |
| OEM Marketing Readiness | Q4 2009 | Office 14 marketing strategy and opportunities for OEM partners |
| RTM Estimate | 2010 * | Estimated time of Office 14 release to manufacturing. |
I don’t know about you, but I’ve got my salt shaker at the ready. I checked the date the article was published, but although it’s quite close to, it’s not actually 1st April.

Dude you are outdated.
These guys have been known to be very spot on with their previous forecasts. Probably have access to MS docs or internal source.

You don’t think they’re just making it up? Why no sources given?
